Hi,

I have installed windows 2003 server in VMware and GUI installed in local machine.

After logging into VMware am able to login SAP management and SAP GUI as well but While logging into local machine SAP GUI getting error as partner192.168.10.2:sapdp00 not reached.

Am not able to ping 192.168.10.2 (VMware adapter IP)  from local machine. I have given my local ethernet IP as 192.168.10.4.  This IP also not pining in vmware network.

Am able to ping 127.0.0.1 from both. I made entry in services file as sapdcECC 3600/tcp (ECC my SID) stil not able to connect.

In vmware settings I tried giving VMnet3 adpater because in local machine ethernet3 i have enabled. But  still not working.

As my laptop is new MCafee installed by default hence am unable to turnoff windows firewall.

Please suggest o this ASAP.

Hi,

seems to be a network problem. Have you checked that the network settings on your vm host are correct? Can you ping anything else from your server? Is the subnet mask correct on both systems?

Kind regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply.

In my VM host 192.168.10.2 is the IP subnet 255.255.255.0. Am able to ping 127.0.0.1 only.

In both systems 255.255.255.0 is the subnet. In local machine I have enabled Ethernet3 (Vmware virtual ethernet adapter). For this I have IP is 192.168.10.4.

Please suggest.

Regards,

Swathi
