SAP RDP connection to SAP ECC

I made some research and saw that SAP Responsible Design and Production  can be connected also to SAP ECC, but apparently you need the "SAP RDP Integration Accelerator" as an integration package with predefined integration content (compatibility of integration package depending on system release), custom implementation or data import via predefined Excel templates: could you please kindly provide more info about this accelerator and how this connection would work?

Hi Michael,

SAP RDP Integration Accelerator is a package designed to connect SAP RDP with SAP ECC or/and SAP S/4 HANA systems. Here’s an overview of its features and how it works:

  1. Overview: The RDP Integration Accelerator provides an out-of-the-box ABAP integration package to quickly integrate data from backend SAP systems into the SAP RDP application. It includes predefined integration content that supports compliance with regulations like EPR and plastic tax.
  2. Key Features:
    1. Off-the-Shelf Integration: Ready to deploy and reduces development time compared to custom implementations.
    2. Compatibility: Supports SAP ECC 6 EhP7/EhP8 and S/4 HANA versions 1909, 2020, 2021.
    3. Prebuilt Content: Facilitates the selection, extraction, and transfer of necessary data.
  3. Benefits:
    1. Rapid Deployment: Setup can be completed in less than a day.
    2. Comprehensive Data Integration: Handles all necessary SAP data for RDP compliance.
    3. Ongoing Support and Updates: The service includes regular updates to ensure compatibility with the latest SAP RDP releases, along with comprehensive support to address any issues that arise.

This package ensures efficient integration with minimal setup time, making it a preferred option over custom implementations or manual data import methods.
