set_table_for_first_display additional fields not displaying

Hi,

I need to modify an existing report by adding two new fields, the report is in a container and uses method : set_table_for_first_display.

I don't see any problem with field catalogue or final internal table, also format structure seems to be correct only.

When I run the report after the changes I see blank space where the two new fields should be, other existing fields are showing correctly.

I tried searching this in SAP help, but the solution suggested are not working for me.

Any help is much appreciated.

I'm not sure to understand what is a "blank space", either it's due to the "ALV buffer" (clear it using BALVBUFDEL, search forum if you need more information) or due to a (default) ALV layout variant selected, the new fields are obviously not part of it but you can add them manually to the variant.

Thanks for your reply Sandra.

I have already tried clearing buffer with BALVBUFDEL.

And I don't see the new fields even when I am trying to change the layout.

I have selected i_save value is U so it only show to change the layout.

Can you please suggest something else.
