Change pointer for creation of new Cost centers

I am trying to create standard Idoc COSMAS01 using change pointers on costcenters.

Here my understanding is that change pointere are only meant for change in master data.

I am not sure if it works out for creation of new cost center.

Can any one confirm if it works for creation of cost center as well.

Transaction codes used are KS01 or KS02

hi,

yes you are correct,change pointers method is used to send data that has to be changed.

if you want to have some new records to be sent then use Master data method.
