You may have seen a blog or a tweet (or two) about the SAP Community Challenge (#SAPCC).  If not, feel free to read it here.

This challenge is so the SAP Community - as a whole - can raise money to support Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières).

Today, MSF provides independent, impartial assistance in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF also reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols.

A lot of great people have already committed to the challenge, or sponsored someone in it.

I wanted to let you all know the reasons why you should (and should not) participate in the challenge.

First, if you don't:

10.  If we don’t achieve this goal, The specified item was not found. will get a military crew cut

6.  Your browser will always be as fast as loading iTunes

5.  chip.rodgers's jacket will no longer get its own seat on major airlines

8.  HANA licenses will be discounted for participants by 99%

7.  Short dumps will actually be short

6.  You will achieve total clarity on all SAP Products and their direction

5.  He who must not be named doesn’t want the SAP Community to do something really cool

1. We will know in our hearts that we have done something good

None of these claims are actually liable to come true - either the good ones or the bad ones.  Except for the very last one. That will definitely come true.

So visit the #SAPCC blog or go right to the Fundraiser page and make your contribution.  Oh, and one other thing that I can guarantee if you participate?  You will not regret it.
