Blog It Forward is an interesting series; SAP Community is getting to know each other, better, through the challenge. Since it was initiated, by moshe.naveh2, the challenge has been accepted and answered by many Consultants.

However, I never thought anyone would be interested in hearing my story, but lately, sudip.ghosh4 and ruthvik.chowdary2 did challenge me to tell mine. So here it is.

Once upon a time, there was a...

No, that's not my storyline, it's how my child likes me to start with the bedtime stories.

My story is different and maybe boring as well.

Since I've already narrated it at May I introduce myself? I'll only add a little more to it here, answering the questions, I'm asked by my friends.

1) What role SAP Community play in your life? Explain it.

I find it a great place to collaborate with other SAP Consultants, and I spend a good amount of my time either reading something by others or sharing what I know or have learned. It helps me with keeping myself up-to-date with the latest information within the SAP market. I believe it can also help with finding potential opportunities and I recommended it at my latest LinkedIn post i.e. Freelancing and Freedom. It's an additional benefit, in my opinion.

2) What is your favorite holiday destination and why?

There's no specific place as such, but I love escapes from the city to natural life. In particular, I like raining (in Summer) and also want to see sunrise and sunset with clarity. In Jeddah, where I lived for over 6 years, I used to go to its coastal area just to see the sunset in the Red Sea.

And seeing the sunrise in barren mountains and deserts always mesmerized me, when I was in Saudi Arabia. I also loved seeing the sunrise from my apartment window, daily. Here's a picture I took one fine morning ๐Ÿ™‚

3) What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

It's related to my interest in seeing nature. I went to a place near Riyadh, called Edge of the World. Even though I, with other friends, made it, I felt the track was very dangerous and a little negligence could have caused much trouble. I think I don't like to repeat such a thing again.

The above 3 questions were asked by sudip.ghosh4 and I need to ask him the recipe of Ras Malai. I love it, among a few other dishes, of that origin.

The questions asked by ruthvik.chowdary2 are answered below:

1) What do you do apart from SAP in your free time?

I'm a family man so I just spend my free time with kids.If they are sleeping or not around and I'm free, I read books. Not specific texts, anything that comes my way and I find the title interesting I pick it to read.

2) If not SAP Career where you would be seeing your self?

Content Development and Training Delivery. I've always enjoyed these two things, within my SAP Career, more than Consulting, so I think I would be a Trainer of some other thing, if not SAP ๐Ÿ™‚

3) Who inspired you to choose SAP or what made you choose SAP?

I was at Siemens for an internship where the project was about to start. Its (German) Project Manager told me the benefits of having an SAP Career. I accepted the offer to work there. It was at the end of 2001. Now when I look back I feel proud of having it as a career. I've explained it at Fast Track Career.

Now let me challenge someone else. Initially, I thought of isanchez77 but as she has already told her story, let me now challenge galal and 197f0f77709544a3bdebe98a55f527bb to answer the following in their BIF post:

1) How do you manage your time between the activities you do?

2) What is the best thing you like about SAP as a profession?

3) Which SAP Consultant do you follow and why?

My BIF finished here, but before publishing, I found another mention by tammy.powlas3 so I'll quickly answer her questions as well, before anyone else also tag me ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • I'm an introvert person.

  • I use Android.

  • Career is another space within the community I spend my time at.

  • I spend my free time with family ๐Ÿ™‚
