xi objects and components

I have a confusion What are xi objects and what are components ?

Objects:

Interface Objects: Datatpe Message type, mesg interface

Mapping Obj: interface mapping, message mapping,

communication channel templats etc.

Components:

Integration Repository, Integration Directory, Runtime Workbnch

Components - As earlier replies say Integration Builder comprising of IR and ID, RWB, SLD are all Components.

These Components are used to develop the Objects.

It can be Design Objects obtained from Integration Repository.

It can be Configuration Objects developed from Integration Directory.

These Objects communication can be monitored using RWB Component of SAP NetWeaver XI

SLD it s a software component.

System landscape Directory is a central repository of information about software and system in the data center.

XI Objects? rather it should be IR objects and ID objects

and the right term is XI components, which should be RWB, IB, IS and AR as pointed out by prateek
