Workflow - Find the messages that were sent based on the position/ Agent

Former Member

Dear experts,

I have a requirement where in I need to send the SAP inbox messages as emails to the users. Currently we have so many inbox messages created, based on various solutions. These messages reach the SAP inbox by the position/ Agent/ Org. unit.

As our users are uncomfortable to always go to SAP inbox to check for any new messages. They want the same messages to be sent to their outlook emails.

So, is there any fn. module/ class, where in I want to input a position and a date time stamp, so that the function module will return all the work items associated with the position from that specific date and time.

Any pointers will be really helpful.

Thanks for your time.

-Amit

Hello,

As aways, start with looking at the SAP_WAPI* function modules.

But, I think a better solution would be to implement Extended Notifications so that the users receive an email when there is a new workitem in their inbox. It can even include a link. You can configure the email how you like, eg how often it is sent.

Rick,

Thanks for your response, can you be more specific please.

I want to send the workitem message to the user as an email for only 1 specific agent list.

If the same user is present in any other agent list and a work item is generated for that agent, i do not want to send an email message.

Eg:

Let's say there is a position

Type : S

Agent 50000001

and it has 3 persons called A, B, C.

now an other Position

Type : S

Agent 50000002

and it has 3 persons called A, X, Y.

Now, if a work item is created for Agent 50000001 then an email should be sent to A, B, C. But if a work item is created for Agent 50000002 then no email should be sent to A, X, Y

Hope i'm clear.

Email only for the messages that belong to 1 specific agent list.

Thanks again for your support

Regards

-Amit.

Hello,

If you send a workitem to S 50000001 then the workitem will go to A, B, C. Extended Notifications will then send an email to those three users.

Hi Amit,

If you are not aware of extended notifications, then what you can do is simply schedule a job for the report RSWUWFML2 after specifying your task number in the same at a frequency of say 5 minutes.

What this report will do is whenever a new workitem appears in the inbox of any user for this task, an email will go to the personal inbox alongwith the sap inbox.

Hello,

For the 157th time, RSWUWFML2 is obsolete.

You can find information on Extended Notifications by searching this forum and/or SAP Help.
