At the very least, will Sybase Central get a new name, one without the [cough] yesteryear branding?
This question was prompted by the section "Enhanced SAP Control Center Support" starting on page 14 of the SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise 16 New Features Overview where it talks about the Compression Advisor Utility, SCC backup scheduling and task management, and various other features in the section "Additional SAP ASE 16 Support in SCC".
No, SAP Control Center will not replace the tool currently known as "Sybase Central". It is likely that the tool will be renamed. The likely name will be "SQL Central".
Yes, Breck, you may recall that the tool was originally known by that name. 🙂

As far as I know there are no current plans to remove Sybase Central from the SQL Anywhere package. Other database teams are choosing to move to SCC but since SQLA needs to be embeddable using SCC does not make sense.
