In 11.0.1.2276, it appears that a long-running event that is executing for the first time WILL appear in the "Events" tab of the Stored Procedure/Function/Trigger/Event Profiler, marked correctly as "Running - Yes", and the source code is actually viewable.
However, the event name does NOT seem to appear listed in the other tab, called "Profiling Results", until the first execution is actually finished.
I haven't checked if this behavior is the same for the first execution of a long-running procedure.
Anyway, this behavior is somewhat disconcerting, since in a large application the "Profiling Results" is the tab of interest in the profiler, not the full lists of all code blocks.
