Hello - on BI 4.1 SP4 - we are noticing that we're unable to fully stop the SIA via the net stop command. The SIA remains in a stopping state. Every server is able to shut down with the exception of the AdaptiveJobServer. In the SIA logs, and in Windows Event logs, we see hundreds of attempts to stop the JobServer (SIA is forcing server NODE.AdaptiveJobServer to terminate) over the course of several hours.
In order to get the SIA to successfully stop the AJS, we need to manually terminate the JobServerChild.exe processes via TaskManager. Once that's complete the SIA is able to shut down the Adaptive Job Server and stop completely.
Have you noticed this, and have you been able to determine why the JobServerChild process will not terminate? GLF logs for the jobserverchild processes show no errors. Windows event logs do show a few "Transport Errors" for JobServerChild processes.
Things we are considering:
Thank you for any advice you might have!
Hi Austin,
Refer SCN thread: How can we start and stop BI 4.0 servers using ... | SCN
Let me know if it helps.
