Hi ,
I wanted to know more about the "Import All" option in SAP Transport.
Like in which situation do you exactly do you need this option and how do you use it.
An example would be much better...
Thanks,
Ishan

when you are building a system from another systems backup and you have a set of transports to import.
You put all this transport requests together and build the buffer.
You can use import ALL option to import all the transport requests in one go.
Even if there are some transports with error, it will go ahead importing remaining transports. You need to take care of errored transport seperately.
Hope it clarifies.

Hi,
If you have more number of transports to move then it is better to do import all method.here the dependancy will be automatically taken care of.If few nos then single transport may be prefered.

Hi,
More specifically it can also be used for imports in Quality. That means all the transport requests which are released in development can be imported to quality directly. In such cases we can schedule import all option as a background job at regular interval. This also depends on the client requirements.

Hi,
The option of import is used when the change requests generated by functional or anothers are independent of each other, in that case we use import all option.
for example, ABAPer develops a new program and creates a request. make changes in the program.
in that case we cannot use import all option because new program has to go,next changes like means
if changes gos first and program next. old design or results only you will get.
So we never use import all option.
