What is Task Chain in SAP Data warehouse Cloud

I can see there is new feature added in SAP DWC in Data builder section . I tried find about it on internet but not getting proper content .

Dear Avinash,

the task chain is a new feature introduced in Data Warehouse Cloud with the most recent wave 2022.14. It is a meta model which can be directly executed or scheduled, and which triggers different tasks within the chain in the sequential order defined.

Hello Oliver,

I am using 2022.19.61 version. For some reason I am not seeing the task chain I created during the transport via Transport->Export option.I can see other objects but not the task chain I created. Any ideas why I am not seeing that?

thank you for reaching out! 🙂

My guess is that you are on a so-called 1 Tenant Mode DWC system, on which transport of task chains is not possible due to technical restrictions. You can verify that by checking if the "Story Builder" tile is visible: If so, your tenant is still in that 1 Tenant Mode.

Newer DWC tenants will be in 2 Tenant Mode automatically, for which transporting is supported. Existing tenants can be switched to 2 Tenant Mode if the customer wants to do so.
