What are the best approach to store/replicate historical data and when Delta merge fails? (SLT)

Currently we are replicating data form S/4 to BW/4 HANA system using SLT(using Delta merge). But we are facing issue while replicating ACDOCA data due to huge volume of data (using SLT Delta Merge). What are the best approaches to store/replicate historical data and when Delta merge fails

This might be a better question for other users/consultants.  If you still have questions on this, can you please clarify what you mean by 'store/replicate historical data'?
