WebIDE All Existing SAPUI5 Apps failing Build

0 Kudos

Since 03/10/2019 all of my previously working SAPUI5 Projects are now failing to build:

9:50:02 AM (DIBuild) [INFO] Retrieving source code

[ERROR] An unexpected error has occurred during the build

[INFO] Build finished in 0 seconds

There is no log, nothing in the Dist Folder (It's always empty), in the chrome console:

{"message":"dist/di.code-validation.core_issues.json does not exist or is not a file"}

Is this a service wide issue? One of my colleagues on another Subaccount is also expereicning the same issue.

There must have been a change in the Build Process in the past month of September, as all of my old apps now fail.

Fix for this ended up being a re-build of the package.json and Gruntfile.js

Gruntfile.js

module.exports
  = function(grunt) {
   'use
  strict';
  grunt.loadNpmTasks('@sap/grunt-sapui5-bestpractice-build');
  grunt.registerTask('default', [
  'lint',
  'clean',
  'build'
  ]);};

These settings instruct Grunt to load the plugin that provides tasks for building SAPUI5 applications and running the tasks in the specified order.

package.json

{

  "name": "grunt-build",
  "version": "0.0.1",
  "description": "Grunt build",
  "private": true,   "devDependencies":
  {
  "@sap/grunt-sapui5-bestpractice-build": "1.3.62"
  }}

Then one additional line had to be added to the package.json as per this SAP Note: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002801814

So the Package.Json now looks like this:

{
    "name": "grunt-build",
    "version": "0.0.1",
    "description": "Grunt build",
    "private": true,
    "devDependencies": {
        "@sap/grunt-sapui5-bestpractice-build": "1.3.62",
        "vscode-uri": "1.0.6"
    }
}

Hi Zack Cain,

Can you share more information - which SAP Cloud Platform region are you using (e.g. eu10, us10, ...), the SAP Web IDE URL, etc.

Regards - Raz
