Virtual Characteristic !!!

Hi, all.

I have a calculated KF1 in a query that results like this :

CHAR KF1 KF2

A.......1.......100

B.......2.......200

C.......1.......300

D.......2.......400

I need to show the results ordered by this calculated KF and display something like this :

KF1 CHAR KF2

1....A....100

1....C....300

2....B....200

2....D....400

I think the only way to to this is using a virtual

CHAR that is filled on execution of this query.

Do you have suggestions ?

If virtual char is the best way please send me links or examples.

thanks in advance

A virtual char is probably the easiest way to go. You are obviously going to want to define this as a virt char. and not a key fig. There is very good documentation with examples of how to do this in CMOD on the "enhancement assignment" screen in CMOD. Place your cursor on the RSR00002 line and click on the help button.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Rob.

Your answer was very helpful.

I try using the virtual char, but i have a doubt.

How can i retrieve the values of calculated KF ?

Is there a way to get these values in the time of exit ?

I should fill the virtual char with these values.
