Hi experts;

Recently we made a database copy from PRD to Test. However, the process chains aren't working.

When I try to schedule the process chain the following error appear:

Variant <&0000000XXXXXX> does not exist

Message no. DB612

You selected variant &0000000123883 for program RSPROCESS.

This variant does not exist.

Correct the entry.

This appends to several variants.

We have already Prg./REPORT "Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT" in Quality sytem.This has been deleted unwanted variants

Not finding appropriate solution from SDN thread.

Assistance will be appreaciated.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks & Regards;

Hi Praveen,

I resolved the issue accordingly, try the same and please let me know:

1. According to note 1455417, execute the report RS_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT in your system. This would remove all the inconsistent job entries. Also execute the Z-Report Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT.txt attached to this note. Inorder to do this Goto the transaction SE38 , create a Report with the name Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT and copy the code that is attached to this note. Then Execute the report. This report deletes all the inconsistent entries.

2. Now, in my case the program RS_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT was not deleting the jobs. Hence, I applied the note 1705879 via snote and re-ran the program with the following options:

Around 900 entries got deleted. After that I ran the Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT program.

Issue was resolved!!!!
