Hi everbody,

I need some advise about specifying variable offset as a variable. I have 0Calday in my query, and I need to show the results from Calday - N to Today where N should be a user entry. The users does not want to enter a range but only enter N.

This is a little urgent, so please heeeelp

Thanks in advance

Yasemin...

Hi,

You can try creating a user exit variable for populating 0calday-N (e.g - YCALN)and then restrict 0calday by an interval [YCALN; 0DAT].

hope this helps.

Thanks for all comments. Users will enter a date and I will use your suggestions. Thanks again.

HI,

all you need to do is take input from the user in an input variable VAR1...and create another vairbale which always gives you system date...this you can put by making value VAR2= SY-DATUM and then restrict the key figure with the range VAR1 and VAR2.

you need to write this code in CMOD.

Thanks

Hi Ajeet,

I think there is a variable in business content for system date. I can use that. So how shall I get the input var VAR1 from the user?

Create a variable as a mandatory one.It forces the USER to enter the variable.

For getting the system date. you can use "0CALDAY" Sap Variable.

Assign points if it helps.......

Hi J S,

Ok. but I don't want to create a date variable because the user wants to see from N days to today's data. How can I define that variable and use that to restrict calday.

Hi,

you need to create a variables of type "user entry" and check the box "ready for input" on the object 0CALDAY then only it will ask you for the input.....

you can use this variable to restrcit the values of the key figure through the RKF's created.

chose the option "between" when creating the variable and lower limit should be the user input varibale VAR1 and upper limit should be Standard SAP variable on 0calday

Thanks

Hi Ajeet,

I think the same problem with what J S says is still going on. The users do not want to enter a date, they want a numeric value to enter and it will show them from N days before to Today's data.

Thank you very much for the information but still I need to solve this problem...
