Hello,

I have created a Charactaristic value variable on 0Region >>Processing

by :Manual Input/default value,Variable is optional and Multiple single

values, and ready for input. When i execute the query the variable

prompt asks for values and as per the values selected the query

displays the values. But during the query navigation if i want to re select the variable entires by clicking on the option 'Display Variable Entries' then the variable selection screen doesnt show the 0Region variable at all and prompts message :

I:BRAIN:000 XREG_MUSNGVAL 0REGION

Notification Number BRAIN 000.

Im executing the query in the web.

Ellora,

in the variable definition / properties window - there is a check box which states that "Variable can be changed during query navigation " check that and see if the issue is resolved..

Dear Arun,

Im working on BI 7.0 and unfortunately there is no such option "Variable can be changed during query navigation ".Though the same option was existing in earlier versions of SAP BW Query Designer.

Probably SAP is working on it or replaced that option with something else or completely ruled out.

Hi,

5 minutes ago, I could have become mad about exactly the same failure!

However, I've made my query input-ready again.

The trick is not to use variables including more than one value. Then it works.

(Okay, now you would have to solve the problem how to avoid variables containing more than one values... but it works
