Using variable time reference with 0FISCPER for currency translation

Hi experts,

in TA RSCUR there is an option to create conversion types for currency ranslation having a variable time reference. I want to use infoobject 0FISCPER as the base for determining the exchange rate from table TCURR.

Unfortunately I can only choose 0CALMONTH in TA RSCUR and not 0FISCPER.

In the SAP HELP it is stated that 0FISCPER should be possible to use. Do qou have any idea how this works?

"Time base: The time base for the currency translation can be either fixed or variable.

¡ If the time reference is fixed, then the point in time for the exchange rate determination is independent of the data. The fixed point in time can either be a fixed key date that is defined in the translation type, the query key date (the date defined in the query settings) or can be determined using the system date when executing the currency translation.

¡ If the time base is variable, then the point in time for the exchange rate determination comes from the value for a time characteristic. The variable time base can, for example, be determined using the end or the start of a fiscal year or a calendar year, a period and a month u2013 or even to the exact day. The following standard time characteristics are available: 0FISCYEAR, 0FISCPER, 0CALYEAR, 0CALQUARTER, 0CALMONTH, 0CALWEEK and 0CALDAY. The time base can also be determined using a customer-specific InfoObject (for example, trading day)."

Hi,

Did you get any solution to you question ... As I am facing the same issue . In RSCUR , I am not able to pick 0fiscper and all Infoproviders I hv contain 0FISCPER not 0CALMONTH.

Actual requirement is to convert local currency amount to fixed currency USD with exchange rate as M and time reference as posting date . But it is not recognizing posting date.

for ex:one record has doc_date is 12/13/2000 and posting date is 06/30/2011. in RSCUR time ref tab,special info objects selected posting date of the document and currency conversions are in transformation between DSO and cube . trying to load data to cube getting an error " No exchange rates date 12/13/2000" but time refer is posting date which is 06/30/2011.

and in our Tcurr table exchange rates are not maintained for 12/13/2000 .

Any light on this would be appreciated..

Hi, Have you got any resolution to this issue, as I'm also facing the same issue I want my reports to show the data as per the posting data of exchange rates. But I'm unable to, also when 0FISCPER is not giving me the correct values.
