Using LPD_CUST to create launch page for FPM obsolete?

Hello,

we are planning an upgrade in november to S4HANA 2022 FPS2 and we are now in the test fase on our testsystem.

We are having some issues with navigating in our FPM's.

For our FPM's we are using the application LPD_CUST to create a launchpage where we can start various FPM applications. Now we've heard that LPD_CUST is obsolete?

We believe the workbench of FloorPlanManager is also build in LPD_CUST, will it consequently change?

Is there another application now to make a launchpage?

When it is obsolete, does this mean that we have to change our launchpages to something new or will it continue to be supported?

We are a little worried ...

Hi Helga,

the ABAP Report Launchpad and transaction LPD_CUST are not obsolete. They are the standard means when you would like to navigate from a Web Dynpro application to any other target application.

Hello Helga,

just one additional comment: In S4HANA 2022 FPS2 the SAP Fiori Launchpad is usually the standard shell. Here, the Intent Based Navigation is the standard way to navigate.

In FPM applications you can achieve this via two ways:

• LPD_CUST: Mark the navigation (field "Application Type" as "Intent-Based")
• Directly use method LAUNCH_IBN of ABAP interface IF_FPM_NAVIGATE_TO

Hi, I am navigating from EAM web dynpro app to UI5 app with Intent based from LPD_CUST. I would like to know how can I add $filter here? Thank you.
