Using jsps in AbstractCommand

Hello all

I have implemented and probed my own AbstractCommand showing a Confirm Window as described in the sample code.

What I would like to do in my command is to use a jsp with htmlb tag library instead of having to use htmlb from java. Is there any way to achieve this? If you think it's not possible I would also like to know.

Thanks in advance

Hi Marcos,

although I don't know which tutorial you refer to, sure, shouldn't be a big problem. You're able to (nearly?) all the stuff with HTMLB taglib for JSP that with HTMLB for Java, maybe minus the good IDE support

Check the documentation here:

Here is the complete tutorial:

Hello Oliver

The thing is that implementing an AbstractCommand I have reached a point where I have to implement this method:

protected Component buildContent() {}

Here I can draw buttons, textviews and so on using htmlb for java because they are Components but I would like to do this with a JSP. A posible solution would be that there was a Component that include the desired jsp.

Do you have any idea of how can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Could you please point me to the tutorial you're working on? Actually I've a hard time getting the context what you're working on.

You know, it's funny when you google for "AbstractCommand htmlb" to get a clue and the first result is this actual forum post. Then you normally know you're in trouble

Nevertheless I would assume, it's somewhere located around this dude: com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.AbstractCommand

I have to disclose that I have no clue about that but let's see how I can help you anyway;)

Best regards,

hello Oliver

the sample code that I´m working on is:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/807cf414-23c1-2910-94a4-af8e26af...

Here they use a ConfirmComponent. Instead of using it, I have created a custom Component which extends OneStepComponent to see if I can call a JSP in there but I´m stuck with the buildContent() method.

Thank you very much for the help
