Use SAP Web IDE OData Features to Create a Simple App

Hello,

I'm doing this tutorial Web IDE app from dev center and i'm stuck at the step 4 where i have to chose the service URL from my cloud plateform foundry destination (northwind services)

My connection is ok

My entitlement is ok :

What could be the reason that i don't see the northwind service please?

Environnement : SAP Cloud foundry trial

I assume you are missing some additional properties in the destination. Have a look at this tutorial here to see what might be missing.

Hi Alexandre,

I linked the wrong tutorial, you need to follow this one (But the navigation to the Neo subaccount won't work anymore and you would need to follow this URL). The reason for this is that the Web IDE itself is a Neo application. Therefore you need to create the destination there to be able to use the wizard (and to run the app). Later when you deploy the application, it will try to access destinations from the CF environment. I understand that this is somewhat confusing. That's why I always recommend using the same destination names in both environments.
That should solve your problem.

In general, I agree with nbcarib. The SAP Business Application Studio is the way to go forward. And I know that dj.adams.sap already has an update for that tutorial in his backlog. So I would just read the tutorial for now and wait for the update and follow it then 🙂

Thank you so much Marius, this is the good link for the neo system. I ve created the destination there and now I can move forward in the tutorial!

I tried to use business app for this tutorial but menus are not the same etc so i prefer to finish this tutorial like it is right now by using web IDE and next i will do another tutorial using SAP business application.

Hi Alexandre.

1. Since you have a trial account, try to do the Tutorials in Business application Studio, not in SAP WEB ID. You will easily find it in subscriptions:

All trial accounts are recommended to switch to Business app studio from now on:

Yeah that's the one i am doing. But as shown in my picture, i can't create a account to neo environment, or i don't know how to do it because i have already a cloud foundry trial account. So i tried to configure the service in Cloud foundry instead of NEO.

Back to the tutoriaI, i follow the steps and it's telling to use Web IDE. But yes i know SAP Business application is the new tool but you know i follow the tutorial like a good student ^^ (and it's good to have an overview of the existing tools).

For now, i don't know what's wrong, except i'm using clound foundry instead of neo like the tutorial suggested. But as i said, i don't find a way to create a neo account.

You are right using the Cloud foundry. So you are getting an error in Business app studio? Please check this blog, also this one

I have no application to select & it tells me about a Neo identification.

I go to main page & click Neo environnement

it tells me to use the free trial. I click but i'm already using a free trial for cloud foundry so it does nothing...

Can i have both cloud foundry trial & Neo trial environnement ? How do i subscribe to a neo environment when i'm already using a cloud foundry environment?

I'm lost sorry ^^
