Hi everyone,
is it possible to use MDM to manage HR-master data?
I've to fill a central system with personal master data from different local systems (SAP- and NON-SAP-Systems).
If there're different employments for one person in different local systems, it'll be necessary to recognize this employments for one person-ID. Might it be possible to use MDM for this problem ??
Kind regards,
Joerg
Hi Joerg,
it is partly possible,... Actually Employee is quite a tricky subject because it is usually related to tons of legal country dependent issues. Therefore you must be legally aware of what Employee information may be stored and made available in a central MDM repository.
On the other hand what you can do is to consolidate a set of matching relevant data in an MDM system and make the generated key-mapping available for client to client distribution. In this way you would have a central system where you can monitor the status of the HR-master data accross the system landscape. And make your maching results available via key mapping services.
Limitation: due to the legal issues described above you should be very cautious in re-distributing the data from an MDM system back to the HR-payroll systems.
Kind regards, Juan Carlos
