Hi Friends,

Iam working on a Query, which has Cell Definitions.

Can anyone please send me some document on Cell Definition, how to create etc.

Hi Nisha,

Cell definitions are created when you have 2 structures in a query definition and need to specially define the intersection cells. You can get to the Cell Editor by a button on the toolbar and view the cells defined.

I don't have a How To on this, but what exactly would yu like to do? If you explain your problem or query definition, we can try to help...

OK, We have a Query. Where many cell definitions are being used.

Now, the report is displaying the Keyfigures in UOMs.

But, the user wants to see the Keyfig Values aswell.

So, i may need to change the existing cell definitions / create new ones...

Hi ,

You need to understand the logic used in those cells. Actually cell defination is nothing but overwriting the cell content display .

Hi,

Cell definition works this way...

When you have two structures in the query , the OLAP processor will be able to correctly identify each cell since the structures are not part of the drilldown. Using this , the OLAP processor will be able to use this grid as a reference and with that , be able to use these values as further reference.

Thia can be used especially for queries like 3 month rolling value etc.
