Hi Everyone,

We have a WEBAS server installed on win 2003 mahcine. We wanted to install Visual composer and because there was no IIS on server, we installed it.

But after installation i am not able to access my server.

http://<server_name>:50000/index.html

is not working.. checked port 50000(using telnet ip_address port) and found this port is not in use any more..

but i am able to start SDM using remotegui.bat

in sap management console i can see sever is green.

Any idea what has gone wrong??

Thanks and regards,

Sudhir

Sudhir,

Sometimes it could be due expired server license. Server works for certain amount of time (30 mins AFAIK) then stops. Could you check validity of license (using Visual Admin for SAP WebAS Java)?

Hi Sudhir,

Did you tried accessing the server with the IP Address instead of the Server Name or Localhost?

Hi Shubham,

I have already tried this..

I have already raised a OSS with SAP. I hope they are able to help us out.

Hi Sudhir,

Did you changed the default values JC00 and SCS01 to any other value?

Check the folder structure usr/sap/<J2E or any other name>

Whats the value of NN in the folder name JCNN.

Whats the value of MM in the folder name SCSMM.

If NN is not 00 and some else value, your default port would have changed.

If its 01 try the port 50100.

Hope this helps.

Hi Shubham,

Thanks for your reply..

NN is 00 and MM is 01.

these ports were accessible before.. so i am just wondering is there any setting which has to be activated?

earliar i was able to access SDM, now that also has stopped.

in our case we do not have JC00 we have E:\usr\sap\NWD\DVEBMGS00

so i think this is WEBAS for abap instance...

Hi,

I have re-installed IIS server just to make sure if this was due to some installation issue of IIS .. restarted my mahcine.. but of no help....

Complete dead lock .....

Hello Sudhir,

It seems that the J2EE Engine is not running. You can check it using jcmon tool or smicm transaction. Check the logs in DVEBMGS00\work directory for details.

Hello Sudhir,

It is really strange that you are not able to access http://<j2ee engine>:50000 in this case.

Are you able to ping the host of the engine? Can you telnet to it on port 50008?

And you are not able to request http://<host>:50000?

Send me the output from lsp command executed in the shell of the Engine while you are connected to it via telnet

Hello Sudhir,

You can use jcmon tool to restart the j2ee nodes (jcmon pf=<instance profile>).

Check dev_server0 and std_server0.out files in work directory for details.

Hello Sudhir,

You can find jcmon tool in .../j2ee/os_libs directory. Start a console in the directory and start jcmon pf=<profile>.

Most of the j2ee services timeouts. You can increase the timeout of the services using the config tool.
