Hi ..
I have installed WAS(ABAP+JAVA) for SP9. I have downloaded all the patches for SP14. How should i apply these patches...steps required..??
Any info would be of great help

Hi Sujesh
Once you have all the SAR files in place, you can get the executable file in the following manner.
Make use of the SAPCAR utility (available on the marketplace).
Now put all your SAR files in one folder. Go to command prompt and type the following.
SAPCAR -xvf *.SAR
You will now be able to view the executable file for installing SP14. The installation procedure is the same as that of your WAS installation.
Hope that helped
Best Regards

Hi Sujesh
What I have posted earlier is the method of extracting all the necessary files from a SAR file. As you might have seen, all the necessary patches for both ABAP as well as JAVA Engine are packaged into SAR files.
Provided that you have downloaded all the necessary files, all you have to do is just un-SAR them and proceed with your installation.
Hope I am clear.
Best Regards
Priya
