Update ODS to data target

Rightclick on the ODS -> Update into datatarget ..In the processing Tab it checked only a Datatarget radio button.I am trying to change to PSA and datatarget but it does'nt allow me.

Client isopen since i am working in Sandbox.

Hi , Tamkris ,

when u r loading from ODS to data target , your ODS behaves as a data source and his name is changed . For example if your ODS name is 0pur_o01 , then ODS name will change to 800pur_o01.

So search for this ODS name in the infosource , you will definetely get it , and then create a new infopackage for it , where u can have the option toload up to PSA also..

Hi Taj,

Please create your pwn InfoPackage under the 8ODS infosource. Here you will be allowed to change the processing option.

In RSA1 > Modeling > InfoSources > search for the 8<i>YrODSName</i> InfoSource. Under this proceed to create and InfoPackage. It should list the cube as a data target.

I searched it and assign the infosource. Later trying to assign the datasource but no found.

Do i have to refresh the BWbox from source system connection tab.

I searched the 80 infosource It not found ..Then i created a new infosurce with the template(8ODS) .after the tried to assign the datasource but not found.

Do i have to replicate it.

Hi,

Please do not create a new one. In the RSA1 > InfoSources screen, from the menu Settings > Display Generated Objects > the radio button for Display generated ODS objects should be selected. If you still cannot see your 8ODS InfoSource then from the topmost node, right click and Insert Lost Nodes. Refresh and try to search for it again.

Thanks! I wish I saw this message the day before yesterday.

A tablespace problem caused delta failure on cube level. The data is fine in ODS(s)(several of them)(#3) and ODS(#1) level. When we tried to push the data up from ODS(s)(#3) or from ODS(#1) to the cube(#2), it didn't allow us to do delta. We ended up delete #1 and #2 content and "Update ODS to data target" from ODS(s)(#3)one by one.

Now the init update to #2 failed because several data packages. I can choose to turn QM to green, or init again, or try to fix the wrong data package. I am going to redo the init, since, I don't see a sign of "this is the end of the whole load" in the monitor(I suspect some data packages haven't been processed). Meanwhile, I am trying to find a topic that related to "how to fix data package errors when update from ODS to data target". Would be great if anybody can direct me to the right forum thread. I know I shouldn't start from here.
