Hi!
While trying to create a track in the CMS when i selected
Add SC...
, the dropdowns (vendor, SC, etc) were empty. So i moved to theDomain Data
tab to run aUpdate CMS
. The problem is that after aproximately 5 minutes, the update process stops with a <b>SLD Read Timed Out</b> error message. The SLD has SAP's Software Components and Products contained in the CIM data model (which are quite a lot!). Maybe this is the source of the problem.
I was wondering if there's a way to increase the timeout value.
Any other kind of solution to this problem will be appreciated.

Nicolá

Hi Nicolas,
Can you check the CMS logs. Maybe they will have more info regarding the problem.
CMS logs are available in /usr/sap/<Instance ID>/JC<Instance Nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/applications
The files may be named as cms*.log.
Apart from this you can also refer to note 840524 which tells the J2EE Engine config for NWDI.

Sidharth, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately i found no useful information in the log.
On the other side, the SLD's log indicates that the CMS gets logged in successfully. I think that the problem is in a connection time out variable that needs to be increased so the CMS can gather the big amount of data from the SLD.

Hi Nicolas,
Did you get a chance to go thru this link.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/52/46f6a089754e3a964a5d932eb9db8b/content.htm
It specifies the properties of HTTP provider service.
Just have a look at Keep Alive and Keep Alive timeout properties.
However i would recommend opening an OSS message for further investigation.
Regards
Sidharth
