I'm accustomed to having unresponsive children, but I haven't seen this error before in Business Objects. Here's the scenario.

We're on XIr2 (Windows) and have the Desktop Intelligence Job Server running on 4 boxes. When we schedule a Desktop Intelligence document to refresh, it works fine, most of the time, on three of the four boxes. On the 4th box, it fails most of the time with the following error:

"Object failed to run due to an unresponsive Job Server child process"

Anyone have experience with this?

Hi Michael-

That particular error message has a history of being related to specific processing issues, oftentimes incorrectly patched DLLs (Does the 4th box have SP1 installed?). Here is a kbase article about a known issue related to Fonts, and <a href="http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/KanisaSupportSite/search.do?languages=&rwTarget=%2FrfPlayerWidget.do&searchMode=GuidedSearch&searchString=%22UnresponsiveJobServer%22&product=&document=&cmd=search&productFamily=&contextType=gs" title="TechnicalSupport search "Object failed to run..."">here is a broad search result of that error message showing other related issues that can generate the issue.
