Hello All ,
Can anyone explain me the logic behind asking for memory limit in unenforced license generation process via SAP support portal . This is contradicting with no memory limit usage for HANA system . why should we give memory limit there ? this is adding me to doubt on if a customer generated unenforced license for 200 GB and uses it for 500 GB too which will cause loss to SAP apparently the unenforced license for 500 GB is way more than for 200 GB .
Please feel free to reach me on +91-9502565559 if it needs a explanation through call . I would really appreciate anyone's insights on this .

Saravana,
Regarding your query on "If a customer generated unenforced license for 200 GB and uses it for 500 GB too which will cause loss to SAP apparently the unenforced license for 500 GB is way more than for 200 GB"
This is just a option client can choose to limit the usage.
Under "License key request" you get a option for License type where one can choose "SAP In-memory Application platform (enforced). By default unenforced license is chosen so that it does not require the restart in case consumption excceds. .
It is not a loss to SAP, as it will be monitoring on annual basis and amended accordingly what was agreed.
Hope this helps.
