Unassigned nodes in Modeling

I have just installed a couple of queries from BC. The objects were assigned to the "Unassigned Nodes" tree. Why does that happen?

I don't have a CRM tree yet, so I don't know where they should be assigned. Does anybody know how I can determine which tree they should be assigned to?

Stuart,

Queries sit on an InfoProvider. Each InfoProvider sits in turn on an InfoArea.

If you have just activated business content and the InfoArea was not activated, the InfoProvider would go sit under unassigned nodes.

If it is an InfoCube, check in table RSDCUBE for the InfoArea.

I have some master data characteristics, some ODS objects, some multiproviders and some infocubes under unassigned nodes. I would like to move them to the correct place in the tree.

Aneesh has provided a way to find out where an infocube should be. How about the other objects?

Hi Stuart,

Tye coresponding table for ODS is RSDODSO. Mulit Providers can be found in the same table as cubes (RSDCUBE)

Hope this helps...

Stuart,

If you want all of them to appear under the correct nodes, best way would to install the InfoArea hierarchy from business content.

For InfoObjects, install the InfoObject catalogs.

Cheers
