Hello Experts,
We are trying to restrict access to irj/go/km/docs url for endusers;
follwing options are being followed:
1. To disable WebDAV:
Go to System Administration > System Configuration > Knowledge Management > Content Management > Protocols > WebDav and uncheck Enable WebDAV Server. restart J2EE server to take effect.
2. To deny the access to Navigation Panel:
Go to System Administration > Permissions > Portal Permissions. Under security zones open the component /security/sap.com/NetWeaver.KMC/low_safety/com.sap.km.cm/components/navigation and uncheck the 'end user' permission for everyone group.
first option is working but when the second option applied, some how it not working.
we are atill able to access the navigation panel from the above said URL.
Any inputs/Help/Suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks,
Siddharth
Hi Anza,
Also if the question is posted in multiple forums than /thread/1986967 [original link is broken] should not be locked because atleast i was getting some good suggestions in the above thread and Forum and i dont see any reason why the above thread was locked and on which basis.
Regards,
Siddharth

Hi,
the reason for the other thread to get locked can be found in the forum rules of SDN:
Please do not Cross post.
Post your question in the most appropriate forum; not multiple forums. This is bad netiquette and will might only aggravate potential repliers
I'm one of the moderators of this forum and locked it. By the way - violation of forum rules may lead to your user ID to get deleted. If you are not familiar with those rules yet you should read them soon:

My Question is not answered in the thread /thread/1986967 [original link is broken] and it was assumed to be answered and locked ,I Posted in both the forums since its belongs to both the forums and it increases the chances for getting the answers and suggestion since i am seeking the inputs and resolution to this issue urgently before raising an OSS message.
If answered i would have closed the threads by myself.
Anyways ACL is implemented but when second option is applied it is not restricting everyone group useres to access the navigation panel.
Any idea about this ,what i am missing here.

Hi,
see the answer in your second thread: Access control lists should be a solution.
