Unable to promote job in BO 4.0 SP9 in Dev Environment

Hi All

I am facing an issue in promotion management in BO 4.0 SP9 Dev environment. When I create a job to promote to QA or Prod, the promotion job remains in created state and does not run at all. However, the job in test promote is successful. This job is created using administrator login and has full control  access.

It would be helpful if any one can suggest any solution

Hi Deepti,

Apart from the issue, if you're looking to get the content migrated to QA or Prod, create the same job in QA env with Dev as source and QA as destination (similar for Prod) and migrate the content.

Regarding the issue, what's the total number of resources being migrated, is that a lot?

Hi Mahboob,

For time being, I had promoted using lcmbiar file and also by logging into the destination environment and changing the source to Dev as a workaround.

I was only promoting a single webi report and no more resources, but the issue still exists.

Hello Deepti,

Did you find anything in the logs?

Also refer to thread below that may help you.

Hi Niraj,

In the link that you have provided, it is mentioned about using IE8 but I have been using IE11 since long and was able to successfully promote the resources.

Also, the issue is only with the Dev environment, as we are able to backtransport from QA to DEV.

I dont know much about checking the logs. It would be helpful if you could explain more about checking the logs.

Thanks,
