Hi,
I have just upgraded from SP9 to SP14.
Now some of my roles are no longer able to create reports.
The SAP Standard ContentManger is still able, in my setup i have taken the report iView from his role and created a new role. This role is not able to create reports.
This worked in SP9, but unfortunatly SAP has decided to tightend security.
Does anybody know how i can give my role access to create reports ?

I tried to change the Permissions on the Workset, Page, and IView. I set the user to have full control first.
It had no effect, so I changed it to Owner but he is still not able to make a report.
I couldn't find any security zones related to reports.
My problem is not the he doesn't get the iview. But in the iview there is no reports in any folders. And there is no start link.
If I as ContentManager creates a report, and gives him permissions to it, then he can see it and also create new ones ???

Hi Rasmus & Subratu,
I'm afraid you will not achieve much by settings/changing the security zones. I believe that you have here a KM restriction and you would need to change the permissions on the "Reporting" repository subfolders.
You will need to be System Principal. By using the Permission iView (Content Administration -> KM Content -> Toolbox -> Permissions) navigate to "Reporting" -> "Reports" and then to one of the subfolders "Content Administration", "Content Management" & "Systemadministration". The reports are divided in those 3 categories as you can read in the Reports Documentation. On each report bellow those category folders and subcategory folders (ie: "Resource Locks" Report under "Content Adminstration/Tools") add the new role with "Full Control" Permission.
Hope this helps,
Robert

hope this helps you .navigate to Monitoring and permissions tab in system administration.
