Refer this

<b> What is an interactive report?

What is the obvious diff of such report compared with classical type reports? </b>

ANS:-

An Interactive report is a dynamic drill down report that produces the list on users choice.

diff:-

a) THE LIST PRODUCED BY CLASSICAL REPORT DOESN'T allow user to interact with the system

the list produced by interactive report allows the user to interact with the system.

b) ONCE A CLASSICAL REPORT EXECUTED USER LOOSES CONTROL.IR USER HAS CONTROL.

c) IN CLASSICAL REPORT DRILLING IS NOT POSSIBLE.IN INTERACTIVE DRILLING IS POSSIBLE.

<b> What is a drill down report?</b>

ANS:-

Its an Interactive report where in the user can get more relavent data by selecting explicitly.

HI Rinky,

In ALV reports there are again, different types of ALVs.

1) ALV Grid display

2) ALV list display

3) ALV HIerarchical lists (LIke tree structure).

There are nothing like BAPI structures.

If you are looking for the different types of programs that can be developed in se38,

then

Include program

Executable Program

Module pool

Function Group

Subroutine pool

Interface pool

and class pool.

Ravi

Apart from regular classical and interactive reports, there are ALV reports which can be developed using ALV function modules or ALV Controls. There are no such BAPI Reports.

You can also develop simple reports using report painter.

Thanks,

Rajesh.
