Hi,

I could not able to search the documents, it is showing no match entries.

Configuration Details:

I installed the SP11 and configured the TREX in SP9 server (which is anothe machine).

In SP11 server the TREX Monitor showing green lights for all servers.

I created 2 indexes, it is showing 2 indexes and 0 entries indisplay queues monitor for all columns.

In Index Monitor showing green light & pending status, other columns having 0 values.

How do I install TREX in SP11 which not given in the NW04 SneakPreview Addition

Can anybody please help to resolve this issue

Thanks in advance

I don't have any cluster environemnt in my landscape.

I am having only one server for SP11 and TREX is on another server (EPSP9).

I configured TREX client in SP11 which is pointing to SP9 TREX.

In SP11 sneak preview they don't give TREX.

Thanks in advance

I assigned data sources to the index.

Indexes are in pending status in Index Monitor

There are no crawlers in Crawler monitor

All servers are showing green lights

I don't konw how to activate crawler log.

There is nothing Application log also.

Thanks

Hi Srini

You will have to activate the crawler log in the crawler parameters

Content Management ->Global Services ->Crawler parameters

I suspect the crawler is not able to reach your resources. Or the crawling itself has not started. Are your resources protected ?

Hi Srinivasa,

Do you have a cluster environment of Portal Running in your system? Because if you have that you have assign your Index Management Service to one of the server nodes you are having.

You can do this under

System Administration->System Configuration->Knowledge Management->Content Management->Global Services->Scheduler Tasks->

Assign all the tasks to one of the server nodes and Index related to all the nodes so that even if one of the nodes are down it will switch to another node.

Hi Srini,

some check questions covering the mocst common issues:

- did you attach a data source (containing documents)

- are these released and accessible

- did the crawler start/pend/fail

- info of Crawler or Indexing Monitor?

- enable cralwer log

hi Srinivas,

Its recommended that all the EP components should in same SP level. Like you have portal on SP11 then KM, Trex, NWDS also should be on SP11.

For upgrading from SP9 to SP11, download the components from service market place and install them. all the SP's are cummulative so u can directly install SP11. you can get info from

https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700009298542004E.PDF

Once you install and configure the post installation steps. Specify the index server name in Visual Admin and check the trex monitor in EP > Sys Adm> Monitoring.

All the should show you green.

Once you create index, check the status in Display Queues. Once if it has indexed documents then OK column should have number of documents it has indexed.

For effective indexing see

https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000378692005E.PDF

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Praveen
