the other object has following request to be transported:
ods activation
transfer rules of infoobject
infosource
update rules of infoobject
infoobject activation
the other object has following request to be transported:
attributes creation
infoobject activation
infosource
infoobject update rules
is there a need to transport datasource
if there's a need to transport
is it neccessary to replicate the ds in testing before transporrts.
Hi Ratin,
There are following things which can be done
1. R/3 datasource if any and in testing also you have to transport these datasources and replicate those DS before moving any other BW objects.
2. AFTER that you should use following seuqnce
Infoobjects which also includes all the changes wrt IO Nav attribute etc.
DSO/Infocubes
Multiprovider/Infoset
Transformation/Update rule
ABAP program etc
Thanks and regards
Kiran

Hi Ratin,
As said above, we need to import independent objects first and then its dependants.
Refer to doc:
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-25970 to know how to transport the request into testing from development.

Harish.

what should be the sequence of the transporting the objects.

Hi Ratin,
In general, the sequence of transporting objects is dependent objects should be transported last.
For example, first infoobject then Infocubes/DSOs, then Multiproviders, Infosource and Data source and infopackages then Transformations and DTPs and finally queries, if any.
The point is if you add a new object to a cube or DSO and if you are transporting the cube/DSO to Quality without moving the new infoobject (imagine that new Infoobject is not presend in Q) then clearly the TR will fail. Also all the transformations, DTPs, and Multiproviders that are related to cube/DSO will fail.
So always transport independent objects first and then dependent objects.
Hi Ratin,
You can insert all the requests into a single "Transport of Copies" type of request via SE01 - Create new.
Best,
D.

actually other consultant has made the modification, i've been given the transport requests.
he has created requests for every modification, as i've mentioned the activities.
i want to know apart from saving them to one transport request, what should be the sequence if i want to move individually.
please let me know the flow if the above are the tasks to be moved
