Transport Workbook assigned to role.

Hi All,

How can I transport workbook.

If i select role of that workbook, will it take just the refernce of that role or the whole role will be transported??

coz i dont want other workbooks(newly created for testing purposes) be transported along this one.

coz if somebody changed other workbooks(by changing queries) in that role, if they go to production it will be problem.

Its fine if just reference to role that workbook was attached transported but not the whole role.

please clarify me with these doubts.

hi Robyn,

when you use role to collect objects in rsa1 - transport connection,

with grouping 'only necessary objects', all workbooks assigned to the role will be collected,

but you can de-select the testing workbooks (remove the checkmark) so that they wont be transported along with the role.

a better way perhaps put the testing workbooks in separate role (testing role), and assign them to 'real' role once testing accepted.
