Tool Area iview

You know the Tool Area iview

It has Search On the left

I want it display on the right of ToolArea

How to?

hi,

It could be done by the particular par file from the location

\usr\sap\<instance>\JCOO\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd file to a local directory.

rename the file and make the changes you want and save.

Redeploy and view the changes you have effected.

Hello,

If you download the par com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea from the portal and import it to NWDS you can easily change the ToolAreaiView.jsp file in any way that you wish. You can move stuff around or add icons/links, whatever.

Then you just redeploy it to the portal.

It's probably a good idea to keep a backup or to make changes to a copy; when you import it to NWDS give the project a different name, make an iView out of it after deployment to the portal and exchange your shiny new toolarea with the one in the default framework page.
