Hello,

I am trying to understand where Tomcat is used/involved in SAP HANA architecture (on-prem). I know that it is used in HANA Cockpit. But is it used in any other place in the SAP HANA Architecture? I need to know if there is any tomcat vulnerability then do I need to patch only HANA Cockpit or all XSA hosts? I can fine this note 3099950 - HANA Cockpit and updating Tomcat release - SAP for Me but nothing much where else it is used. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
RT

Besides HANA Cockpit, the only other product that I know that uses TOMCAT is the Business Objects (now known as SAP Data Services).

As stated on the mentioned SAP note, you can't update just TOMCAT, you need to update the whole product.

Thanks! Yes, i deal with Business Objects and Data Services too and patch tomcat on regular basis. And we patch HANA cockpit on regular basis to update tomcat. But I am just wondering I could not find tomcat in HANA Cockpit architecture diagram. But thanks for confirming.
