Tomcat isn't in my download

I downloaded Crystal Reports 2016 and it never came with Apache Tomcat. We are trying to simply connect to Crystal Reports through an internet browser and we cannot. We know that the address and port number are correct, but we cannot connect. We assume that it is because of Apache not being on our download. Could someone direct me toward a download of Tomcat or explain why I cannot connect through my internet browser?

What exactly have you downloaded ?

Tomcat will be part of a default download and install of Crystal Server product.
Unless during installation you have selected not to install it.

Tomcat is not a separate download.

We downloaded part 1 and part 2 of the Crystal Reports Server 2016, I don't believe I selected not to install Tomcat. Should I uninstall the program and try to reinstall it?

can you post screenshot of your Program & Features ?
What OS have you installed on ?
If you try to modify installation - does it show Tomcat selected ?

We are running Windows Server 2012 R2. I did not find anywhere that I can modify the installation.

what is on screenshot looks to be Crystal Reports, not Crystal reports Server.
To modify installation you click on its entry in Programs and Features and select Modify

So I went to modify the installation and I'm assuming that we would be able to select the Tomcat download when the check boxes pop up, but I do not see it. For the sake of just trying it, I did select every option there and I still do not have Tomcat. I attached a screenshot of my options that I received, should I deselect something? modify-1.png

Hello Michael,

You do not see tomcat because you have installed Crystal Reports, The app that designs CR reports, not the Crystal Reports Server.
you need to install SAP Crystal Reports Server 2016.

Okay, I see that now, is there somewhere I can download the Crystal Reports Server? I have my product key, I just need the download.

Go to software downloads, select Installation and Upgrades, then by Alphabetical and select C, scroll down all the way till you see SAP Crystal Server, then click on SAP Crystal Server 2016

you need following files :
51053193_1 SAP CRYSTAL SERVER 2016 SP06 WINDOWS 64B 1/2
51053193_2 SAP CRYSTAL SERVER 2016 SP06 WINDOWS 64B 2/2

I navigated to the Installation and Upgrades, but then it takes me to a web page with an option between KPI catalog and Roadmap viewer. I cannot find Crystal Report Server on either of these pages, where should I be looking?

In that case you need to contact CIC for assistance, https://support.sap.com/en/contact-us/phone.html

Ok so I got all of that sorted out, and I am able to get into Crystal Report Server. Now, I just need to connect to the server remotely. On a different computer that is connected to the same network, I tried to connect into it by putting my VM address followed by the default port number and then BOE/CMC. So it looks something like 111.111.1.111:8080/BOE/CMC. When I do this, I cannot load the server. Is there any thoughts on what it could be?

what do you mean "cannot load" - what error do you receive ?

In the browser you should enter : http://servername_or_ip:8080/BOE/CMC

This is what my browser says when trying to connect to it. It does work on the Server itself, just not remotely.

this means there is no connectivity to that IP from that machine.
If you go to command prompt and type ping <ip of the server> , what happens ?
If nothing comes back - that's the problem. Its either a wrong IP or a connectivity issue.
If it responds - you might have a firewall between that machine and the server and it is blocking port 8080.

Yes, the server is installed and I can even get into Crystal Reports.

So do you see the login screen from the web app?

No, that's what we are trying to get to. We can't get to the web interface.
