time out issue in synchronous scenario

Hi Friends,

We are facing an issue with a synchronous scenario from 3rd party system to R3.

some times the request sent from 3rd party system gets a timeout from R3. When the same message triggered again after 2 to 3 mins delay, its getting response immediately.

How can it be analysed to find the root cause. Please help me.

Is PI/PO involved in this scenario?

If so, did you see any delay in message processing (especially on R/3 side)?
