Time interval error in Hierarchy load

Hi Experts,

I have executed a hierarchie process chain where i come across a proble in DTP the error message are

Time interval error: See long text

Message no. RH167

Diagnosis

There is a hierarchy with name XXXXXXXXX_Z  DATETO = XXXXX and DATEFROM = XXXXX. The time interval of this hierarchy contains the time interval of the hierarchy to be loaded, whereby both have the same technical name.

Procedure

Change the time interval of the existing hierarchy in the hierarchy maintenance so that the time interval of the hierarchy to be loaded is not in the time interval of the existing hierarchy.

i checked but there is no other hierarchie for the info object with the same name or datefrom or date to.

Could you please suggest what needs to be checked here to come to a clear picture about the error and how can we resolve it.

Hi Arun,

The error message indicates a hierarchy with an overlapping time interval. Could it be a hierarchy which is not yet activated? Did you check the source system for any hierarchies with overlapping time intervals?

Please also review if SAP Note 1698858 - Error RH 167 when synchronizing hierarchies is applicable in your case.

I have got the issue solved by deleting the old heirarchy which has the time interval.

Hey, How can I delete a hierarchy ? It doesn't seem feasible as the button is greyed out
