Threshold and personalization on time series chart - SAP Analytics Cloud

Hi all,

I want to ask something about the time series charts on SAP Analytics Cloud.

I have a time series chart on which I show the trend of a quality variable. In this chart I also have the limits of this variable (threshold above or below which the variable assumes unacceptable values).

First of all, is it possible to hide the data points of the limits? I would like to show the line with the relating points for the quality variable and only the line for the limits. I have already tried to insert a reference line to solve this problem, but my limits varying over the time, and with the reference line I only succeeded to show a fixed value (even using the dinamic reference line, because in this case SAC forces me to to aggregate the measure).

After that I have another question about this chart. Is it possible to color the dots on the chart based on some rule (e.g. color with red all dots above or below the limits)? To do this, in a simple line chart, I use the threshold, and color the points based on this threshold. However, with the time series chart I'm not able to reach my goal. Maybe I could use the simple line chart, but in this way visualization get much worse.

I hope I was clear, if there are any doubts about the problems, I'm obviusly available to clarify them.

It's my first time on the forum, I hope I asked the question on the right section.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

First of all, the threshold can't be implemented in the time series chart as you mentioned you have to use a dynamic reference line for that and it will always force you to do aggregation because the aggregation can work as a dynamic reference line.

Also, you can't change the color of the dots but can change the color of the line.

Best Regards,

Sandip Kumar.
