Hello,

after a successful UNIX installation, trying to login with superadmin (SAP*/06071992) won't logon.

message [User SAP* is active. No other users can log on], when trying to log with other user name.

Does reset the password help?

Regards,

AAAttar

Are u loggin on to 000 client, then it would be the master password what u have given at the installation,

else if ur trying to loggin on to 800 or other client then it would be

pass, note: in client 000 the parameter value login/no_automatic_user_sap_star should be 0.

if this fails post ur message.

Reward points if this is successful.

Default password is your master password during installation.

when you set the parameter

login/no_automatic_user_sap_star = 0

password for SAP* in new client you created is PASS.

Hello-

Are you installing EP6 SP2? If so, you are correct in using sap*/06071992.

Are there any error messages in the console logs? Check under usr/sap/<instance>/j2ee/j2ee_00/cluster/server/managers/console_logs for the latest error file and also under the same path for dispatcher and state nodes.

Post here any additional information.

Thanks,

Marty

Hi Marty,

initially there were some erros in the server error.log file (see below).

installation with j2eeadm user. we are using port# 50100/irj/ to access the portal, as we ran SAPinst the second time to make the installation. Current error_log files (at /server, /dispatcher, /state) shows NO errors, exceptions or failures.

I appriciate your feedback.

Hello,

are you talking about an R/3 Installation? That does not fit really the Forum topic. If you mean the Portal the default user name is Administrator.

hi,

sap*/06071992 used to be the credentials for the portal as well (i think until ep60sp2). in higher releases, they switched to Administrator.
