synchronous response!!!

Hi Folks,

We are trying a scenario, which is synchronous.

File> XI>RFCAdapter --> R/3 System.

Where data from file is creating a purchase order in R/3 backend.

We want that PO order No to sent back to File system.

We did this with BPM successfully.

We have a synchronous outbound mesage interface.

when We are sending a file through File Adapter, PO is getting created,

But where do we see the response of RFC? that is PO Order NO.

We have done all message mapping for Purchase order as well as Response.

I can see all 4 messages in message monitoring, showing successful.where last message is as follows.

The XI response message for message e22abbb0-b59b-11d9-9e70-000d56714443(INBOUND) was successfully returned to the calling application.

We cant see any message processing in SXMB_MONI though.

But we dont know where to look for O Order No created in FTP server.

Can some one assist in this.

Thanks

Deepti Patil

Hi Deepti,

Increase you trace/log level in IE configuration to see all the synchronous messages in SXMB_MONI.

Hi Deepti,

If the PO number is available in the transformed XML then you should be able to see it in the adapter framework logs. I'm not sure whether this is what you are asking in your question. can you be more clear pls?

Hi,

A file adapter is asynch. This file adapter cannot receive a response containing the PO number.

What you need is a BPM with a asynch-synch bridge. A message is sent via a sender file adapter to a synch RFC, which replies with a PO number. The PO number is sent via an asynch message to a receiver file adapter.
