We have a request to move our application to LINUX. We need to know if the SA ADO.NET provider DLLs run on LINUX under the Mono runtime.
I know that the iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.v4.0.dll contains unmanaged DLLs called iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.dbdata12.dll and iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.dbdata12.dll.x64 in it as resources and extracts one of them, based on the operating system. Where are these files extracted to? Are they given fixed names or random names?
Request clarification before answering.
We currently do not test our ADO.Net driver on Linux/Mono.... and therefore this configuration is currently not supported.

SQL Anywhere is available on Linux and we're looking to porting our software to Linux. It'd be nice not to have to change databases.
Out of curiosity, has the answer to this question changed at all in the past year? If the answer hasn't changed, what would be required to get the software tested on Linus / Mono?
