Hi,

I have updated support pack 00 to 09 on our new portal sandbox 7.3.1 using SUM tool

Do I need to follow any other medthod?

I generated Stack xml file from Solution Manager and selected it but got error that "The Directory contains invalid archives" then

I selected manually prepared directory i.e. /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/ where the all patches have been placed.

SUM finshed successully without any errors, but only few components have been updated and Kernel upgraded successully

too

Regards,

Hi,

As this is a java system (you mentioned ) there should not be any issue in updating the Patch when you select the directory.

During the upgrade it would have given you screen which tells you which patch will be updated does it match with the updated patch in the system.

If yes then Sum tool update the patch which were read by it.

I would go back again and check the patch that are in that directory which were no updated and see if they were corrupt . Place the patch again and see it they can be updated.

can you also provide the list of the patch that you thing were not updated.

Thanks
