Subreport causing performance issue

Former Member

Hi,

I have added a subreport to my report and have noticed that the loading time became considerable after this change, the subreport is linked to the report via a unique Id.

Please advice how to avoid this and if there is an equivalent way to do without subreports knowing that I am displaying with the subreport from a list of records the most recent one based on the Ids of the table.

Thank you

Hi Med,

Subreports, especially those that are placed on the Details/Group sections, considerably impact the performance as they run for every record/group.

To get rid of the Subreport, you can:

1) Write an SQL Query that gets all of the data you need for the report or

2) If wish to report off of tables, you may use 'SQL Expression' Fields.
